Jeffrey Brown was born July 14, 1960.

His first band was Sam Apple Pie in 1978/79, Salt in 1980, Bernie Marsden Band in 1981 and Dumpy's Rusty Bolts around the time of 1982.

In the years 1983-1987 he was in Wildfire and from 1985 in Statetrooper where Bruce Bisland was the drummer and in 1986 he was a member of Paddy goes to Holyhead.

In 1989 he joined Sweet as the bass player, took over the lead singing in 1998 when Chad Brown left and in 2003 he left Sweet and was replaced by Tony O'Hora.
