Elastic Band were:
Sean Jenkins, Andy Scott, Mike Scott and Ted Eadon. |
| Originally known as The Silverstone Set (Wrexham based) this band gigged around the Midlands and North Wales. They also appeared on 'Opportunity Knocks', apparently they won five times! This helped secure a contract with Decca. They played a sort of blue-eyed soul and in Ted Yeadon's vocals they had quite an asset. The 'A' side of their second 45, Do Unto Others, was taken from the 'Mr. Rose' TV series and the flip was also quite an appealing piece of blue-eyed soul. Their sole album was a bit inconsistent. One of the tracks from it, Has Anybody Seen Her?, was also included on Nova Sampler in 1970. |
| Ted Eadon was also known as Gus Yeadon amongst others. |
| The band split up in 1969 when Yeadon joined the Love Affair. |
