All over my room there was Sweet posters and I remember my jeans which had Sweet sawed all over. I had to smuggle them out if I would wear them. My parents didn't like my Sweet life and I didn't understand why. This will be clearer for everybody later on. I was totally a Mick fan and still are. When I was about 12, my best friend and I could earn some money if we dressed up like Sweet and walked up and down the streets. We did it and everybody was looking at our wigs, funny clothes and boots and we were richer.

When Sweet came to our town in '73 I wanted to go, but was not allowed. I begged and did almost everything, but nevertheless, I had to stay home and I was mad. I spend the whole day in my closet and I have not and will never accept this decision.

I wanna rock !!!!

Sweet maniac

At a time my uncle from the states came to visit us and he was supposed to sleep in my room with all my posters! I spend most of the day pulling down all the posters - just in case - I did not know what would happen to them. On my recordplayer there were only Sweet records, I was loyal, I didn't play anything else, I was a true fan. Sweet was my life and tried to tell the world of them, even my little nephew was under my wings. In a very young age he was able to say Sweet, Mick, Andy, Brian and Steve. If you read this, Jesper, you will see how proud I was.

My mom knew all about Sweet. I told her everything and she helped me translate lyrics and articles. Later in my life it was not always possible for me to listen to Sweet records. I had to stand up late at night to do it. I was now a real undercover Sweet maniac.
